JAMIE|
Jamie was a hybrid gyr X peregrine falcon hatched in 1984. She was a large female falcon to which Lance had been a companion since she was a downy chick. Jamie lived in the bedroom and Lance woke up every morning to the soothing sound of her preening. Jamie was "imprinted" to Lance and disapproved of others who were close to him. Over her lifetime, 13 years, she proficiently caught her bag limit of grouse and ducks and one wild turkey. She was an exceptional falconry bird and is sorely missed. Jamie lost her life doing what she did best, hunting sage grouse. |
