Night Storm

My gentle elfin friend, do you fear the calling thunder and
the flash of lightning bright?

Step forth from you shelter door and into the dark of night.
Behold the show before you, displayed for your delight.

You may think that nature is angry, but it's really her delight.
It is Heaven and Earth kissing, in a blinding flash of light.

When you my elfin friend do the kissing, do you not feel the sparks?
Is it not more exciting when done within the dark?

Fear not the calling thunder and the flash of lightning bright.
It is nature's way of playing games, of midnight delight.
